I was a little bored this weekend so I decided to check out what was on Xbox Live Marketplace for movies and trailers. I tend to forget about the fact I can download free HD movie trailers. There where several new trailers up and I decide to download and check some out. Here's what I saw and what I thought:

300. This movie looks awesome and I can't wait to see it. This was the second trailer available on XBL and was like the other showing some of the same scenes of the Persian army and the Spartans fighting. It's is a really cool story and I'm a little surprised we haven't seen a movie about this before. A combined Greek army of a few hundred soldiers takes on the Persian Empire's army and hold them back. The Persians can't get past the Spartans at this narrow was as 300 Spartans fight shoulder-to-shoulder.

Transformers. Another movies that looks awesome and should be a summer blockbuster. This movie is not for the kids, as it looks very mature and a bit scary. The movie is CGI w/real actors so the transformers in robotic form look a lot scarier than in the cartoon. There is a very dark tone in the trailer too. This movie comes out 7.4.7 which is an interesting date for me.

Zodiac. This movies just came out and it looks interesting to me. I heard the movie is a bit slow but I still want to check this one out.

The Simpson's Movie. Watching the Simpsons in HD was really nice. I've stopped watching the show on Fox but will be sure to catch the movie on DVD when it comes out.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I love the books and the movies so I'll definitely be seeing this in theaters and picking up the DVD.

Blades of Glory. This looks like comedy gold! Will Ferrel and Jon Heder in an ice skating movie where they team up to do pairs skating. This should be dam funny.

I also downloaded the latest Modest Mouse video, Dashboard. They are the artist of the month. The video is a bit odd butt he song is really good. A little more up beat compared to their last stuff.
