Back from Laughlin

I went on a long weekend golf trip to Laughlin, Nevada with a few college friends and their parent's college friends and their kids. This is an annual trip I've been on before but this year we played some really nice courses. For the most part I enjoyed the golf and played well. I was driving the ball well and the irons where solid if not crisp. My short game was not good and I don't think I made a good putt all weekend. I'm not a big gambler off the golf course but will play the slots to pass the time. On the course I am confident enough with my game to do some betting. The group normally falls into three groups and we end up playing a scramble. The first day we won and we lost the two following days. One round we did play our own game and played Wolf against my foursome. No one was willing to ever push and I went lone wolf once but no one else did. I ended up being the big winner but only won enough to pay for my lunch. I would have liked playing my own ball more often but everyone else is not that good and only want to play scrambles.

/rant on What has happened to air travel in the past ten years? This has to be the worst way to travel. On the flight down I was in seat 5F but when I got through the security checks and managed to get to the gate I was kicked to the end of the plane. It seems the flight was making a stop in Denver and they wanted all the Denver travelers on one side of the plane. So I get on board and squeeze myself into my seat in the back of the plane. I've got me knees firmly stuck into the seat in front of me. I don't recall ever being so packed in on a flight. Then we land in Denver and are not allowed off the plane. We stay on as the cleaning crew cleans the other side of the plane. Then wait for the other passengers to board. Now the air was off and it got hot on that plane. This occurred on the return trip too. The return flight was better because I got an exit row but those seats are still very narrow. Unfortunately Sun Country is the only airline that flies into Laughlin. So as long as we decide to travel to Laughlin we will have to use Sun Country. /rant off
