My 360 arrived on Tuesday and is as good as new.  I was a little surprised how fast I got my 360 back considering some of the horror stories I'd heard.  I've got some pictures I'll upload to flickr later showing the box it came to me in and how it was packed.  Microsoft recently announced a return to free shipping (I paid for mine) and a five day turnaround on your repair.  This is a very good decision to improve the hassle of getting a system repaired.  I also think this is a sign they have isolated the issue with 360's breaking.  They must not need as much time to trouble shoot the issue so they can now fix your 360 faster.
