Doodlebops' Concert
Last Friday I took my son, Colin, to see the Doodlebops. The
Doodlebops are a kids rock band with a show on the Disney channel.
Colin absolutely loves the Doodlebops and knows all their songs. He
often requests we listen to their CD while in the car and will sing
along for some of the songs. Well we went to their evening show at the
Xcel Center last Friday and Colin had a blast. It was a packed show
using about half of the Xcel Center's lower level seats. The show was
hosted by Bus Driver Bob and featured the Doodlebop dancers. I've
never seen the dancers before but they looked like they borrowed their
outfits from the 360 launch party, all white w/neon green designs. I
do think that the role of Deedee Doodle was not performed by the
regular person but Erin didn't notice the difference. The show was
about and hour and a half long but they took a half hour break in the
middle. It seems kind of excessive and you would think they could sing
and perform for an hour straight. It did give us time to go buy a
shirt and a toy for Colin. I don't think he even noticed the break.
He was on the edge of his seat the entire time. Unfortunately almost
none of the pictures I took turned out. Erin did get one of Colin
waiting for the show to start and I have one of Bus Driver Bob. It was
a fun show and Colin had a blast. He wanted to go see the Doodlebops
again the next day. He'll have to wait till next year if they come
again. We will try to get tickets to see the Wiggles since they are
coming to the Target Center this summer.
