What's coming next
Here's a quick summary of the games I'm looking forward to over the rest of the year.
Summer Releases:Forza 2 - This is a racing simulator for the 360. A demo is on Xbox Live and if you haven't I'd check it out.
Shadowrun - This is a fantasy FPS with game play like Counter Strike. For me it's a rental but should appeal to Halo fans.
The Darkness - Based on the comic this looks like an interesting FPS with special powers.
Overlord - A very interesting RPG where you play as evil as you want in a fantasy land where you control minions that do the dirt work for you.
Two Worlds - A massive RPG in a fantasy world that looks to hit the 360 this summer.
Too Human - An action game that is a mix of Nordic lore and Sci-Fi. This game should be very good and is made with the engine from Gears of War.
Bio Shock - This is a FPS in a twisted underwater city. This game looks very interesting and should be a great story along with great game play.
Blue Dragon - This is a JRPG that uses Japanese cartoon art style. It got great reviews when it launched in Japan so I'm hoping the game does well in the US.
Fall Releases:
Haze - A sci-fi FPS that takes place in the not too far future. Not sure if this will be on the 360 this year or not.
Unreal Tournament III - A FPS from the makers of Gears of War. This series has done very well on the PC and is now on the 360.
Assassin's Creed - This is an action game that takes place during the Crusades.
Halo 3 - You should know what this one is.
Call of Duty 4 - This will be a modern world COD game. The FPS series has pushed the military FPS genera so I have high hopes for this game.
Half Life 2 - The sci-fi FPS is now coming to the 360 with a new expansion pack and a includes Team Fortress 2.
Over the rest of the year these are the games I'm most looking forward to playing. It's been very quiet lately with not many new releases but this should all change next week when Forza 2 and Shadowrun both come out on Tuesday. From there on the summer gets busy as everyone trues to get their game out before Halo 3. It will be interesting to see Assassin's Creed will keep the same release as Halo 3 or if they move the release back a few weeks. Compared to last summer where very little was released this will be like Christmas came early this year.
