The Xbox 360 Elite will lunch in Japan this October for $390, $80 less that the current US price. This is not so much a price drop but more a preview for American buys. In Japan game consoles are always sold as a lower price there compared to the US because the Japanese are cheaper price conscious consumers. Currently the Wii is cheaper in Japan and the 360 Pro sells for $325 while the Core is $250 in Japan. Sony has in the past make their price cut first in Japan then introduced that saving in other markets. So hopefully Microsoft will be giving some of this love to the US market. Maybe Microsoft will announcement a price cut at their E3 press conference next week?
