I was checking out a few of the blogs I tend to read and I saw a post that the Zune was receiving a price drop.  I decided to look around at some other Zune sites and found one with leaked pictures of the next iteration of the Zune.  I bought Erin a Zune for her birthday last May and she likes the device.  I own an iPod Nano but have felt a little annoyed with it's interoperability with my Xbox 360 and it's horrible bloated software.  I've decided to make the switch once my Nano kicks the bucket.  I've stopped buying songs on iTunes and have been waiting for the new Zunes to come out.

My 4 GB Nano is just too small for all the podcasts I listen to.  I've been in a perpetual state of running out of space and having to pick and choose what I want on my device.  If I go with a flash memory device I want to have the ability to watch videos and store all my podcasts.  If I can get an 8 GB Zune that has video playback I'm sold. 

I was seriously considering an iPhone because I have AT&T and carrying only one device would be great.  The price of the phone was a bit too much for me though.  The recent price drop of $200 on the 8 GB iPhone did shock me as a drastic move by Apple.  It seems the 4GB iPhone will be going the way of the 20GB PS3 as soon as inventory runs out.  If this device would only play nice with my 360 I would be all over this phone.
