Tip 9 - Leave feedback and/or File compaints

Over the weekend I was playing a lot of Halo 3 multiplayer and so where a lot of other people with it topping one million unique users on Sunday.  With these kinds of numbers you are going to run into a few bad apples that try to spoil your experience.  Part of the Xbox 360's charms in that you now have the ability to mark a player as Preferred or Avoid.  This option can be easily chosen by viewing that person's gamer card.

By selection to prefer a player that means when you are in matchmaking you will have a larger tendency of being placed in a game with this person.  It's a bit nicer than just deciding to add this person to your friends list.  Now you can maybe play a few gamer together to see if you want to send that friend invite.  If you choose to avoid a person you have to specify why you are avoiding the person.  This person will now never be placed in a random match with you again.

Each player is given a 5 star Rep that is displayed on their gamer card.  Ass people give you good feedback and other give you bad feedback your gamer rep will change.  The hope is that all the folks with a bad gamer rep can play together in their own little cesspool while the rest of us play nice together.  This doesn't always happen and then there are the occasion you feel like leaving a complaint.  Filing a complaint is used you offensive language or gamer tag or just being a jerk.  Microsoft has been banning people from Live and can mute your profile so that you never are heard on live.

I try to leave feedback when ever I have a bad experience online.  I do try to leave good feedback if I play with some people I have fun with.  By leaving feedback and filing complaints I'm hoping that I get to play with good people.  So if your online remember to leave feedback and file a complaints.
