It's been a while since I worked at a place where I had to wear dress pants for work 4 days a week.  I'm really a jeans and tee-shirt kind of guy but for better or worse I'm business casual.  Since this is change I've only bought enough pairs of pants to get me through a week.  I really don't like buying clothes and would much rather spend my money on fun stuff like games.

Well last week some freak disaster occurred in the washing machine and I lost a pair of pants.  Some how the waist band got stuck and got chewed up.  Since I don;t do the wash I didn't complain much but WTF?  How does that happen?  Looked like the dog felt like having a cotton fiber lunch.  This isn't the first pair I've lost recently either.  I have a pair in my closet that ripped right below the pocket.  I think I can salvage those by sowing up the small tear but needless to say I'm running low on pants.

The dilemma here is there are two really cool games coming out that I want to buy: Project Gotham Racing 4 and Half Life 2: Orange Box.  I loved PGR3 and PGR4 looks even better with motorcycles and new cities.  I do enjoy the racing games and this one will probably be another time suck for me.  I've never actually played any of the Half Life games but Orange Box comes with Half Life 2, Episode 1 and 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2.  You can checkout the Team Fortress videos on XBL Marketplace. TM2 looks like a fun multiplayer and I like the different character classes style.  Portal is a bizarre physics game that shouldn't take long but looks cool. 

So now what do I do!  I really can't buy new pants and new games right now so i have to choose.  I'll probably buy the dumb pants but I really don't want to.  There is a demo of PGR4 on live now so I can have some racing fun for free.  I'm not really ready to move past Halo 3 either.  Maybe in a couple weeks I'll go and pick one of them up.
