Eternal cut scene

The Monday before Halo 3 came out I received Eternal Sonata from GameFly.  I gave it a try and played for a couple hours before I left for the Halo 3 launch.  After that Halo 3 has been the focus of all my gaming time on the 360.  I am still playing a lot of Halo 3 but have found some time to devote to Eternal Sonata.

I do enjoy RPGs and this is the game type of Eternal Sonata but this happens to be a Japanese RPG with turn based combat.  If you weren't sure that the game was a jRPG then the super long cut scenes slap you in the face and remind you.  In the first three hours of game play there are about an hour or more of cut scenes. So far the game is fairly standard fair, see an enemy, fight the enemy, repeat.  Eventually you fight a boss then get to watch another long cut scene.

Since I'm still not very far in the game I'll give it a little more time but it's hard to play through something like this when there is PGR4 and Half Life 2 waiting in the wing.  I am working on playing Halo 3 on Legendary as well as playing some multiplayer online.  I've recently achieved the rank of Lieutenant  and will hopefully get  to Captain but I don't see myself getting much further.  Playing Halo 3 on Legendary so far is crazy tough but so far doable.  Might take me a month but it can be done.
