What They Play, a parent's guide for video games

There is a new website being launched that is attempting to help parents learn more about the games their kids are playing.   The site www.whattheyplay.com has been launched to give straight forward advice for parents about video games.   The site is mostly made of of game reviews that are designed for the non-gamer by explaining aspects like online game play and how the game received it's ESRB rating.  The site goes on to rating each game by how old someone should be if they play this game.  The site also offers a section of breaking down the most popular titles by their ESRB rating.

For a site like this to actually work it needs a lot of press coverage and parents that actually care what their kids are playing.  The typical parent will probably not find whattheyplay.com by themselves so media coverage is needed to get the word out.  For those parents that care about what their kids are playing they will find a site that tries to be as user friendly to the gaming illiterate unlike most game review sites.  So if your a parent please check out the site and get more involved with that Little Johnny is playing cause I really hate playing with prepubescent snots on Halo 3 or Gears of War.
