For the second week in a row the PS3 has out sold the Wii in Japan by large margins.  The past two weeks the PS3 has sold over 50,000 39,000 units each week since Dynasty Warriors 6 has been released.  Interesting enough even the Xbox 360 has seen a nice boost because they are the only other system Dynasty Warriors 6 is available on. 

This little trend is something to watch because it seems that there is a backlash against the Wii in Japan.  The system is still selling well but now that there is a cheaper PS3 for sale that system is definitely stealing sales from the Wii.  Some Japaneses game developers have been comparing the Wii to home workout video where lots of people buy them but once it's home it's never used.

Update: The early numbers for the PS3 in Japan where bad.  Per Media Create, NPD of Japan, the PS3 sold 39,178. Wii 36,230 and the 360 sold 6,525 units.
