Holiday Update

So in the States we are celebrating our Thanksgiving this week.  For me it's a little more hectic because my son is turning 3 on Monday but we are having his birthday party on Saturday.  So I've been spending a lot of time with family and of course cleaning and getting ready for the birthday party.  We are giving our son an orange garbage truck he has been asking for ever since he saw it at Costco.  The garbage truck fascination all comes from the book I Stink which I'd recommend for any family with a little boy.

I have found a little time to game so far and hope to get some more in over the long weekend.  I've finished the campaign in Call of Duty 4 so now I'm trying to work through the game on the hardest difficulty for the achievements.  I have not tried the multiplayer yet or the arcade mode but will try to get into those over the weekend.

My current GameFly game is Project Gotham Racing 4.  Let me tell you if you like racing and have not given this game a try you are missing out on a gem.  This is a very cool racing game that is a bit more arcade than Forza but has some really cool effects and courses.  The PGR franchise is more known for their kudos system that rewards drifting and power sliding.  This iteration of the game specializes in adding weather to games.  You will be racing on mostly courses designed on city streets and will feature rain, snow and fog.  It's a bit crazy driving down the Los Veges strip while it's snowing out.  These weather elements add a but of danger to the  course as you will slip and slide on these courses.

This is a time to spend with family so I'm not going to get a lot of crazy gaming in but plan on some late nights playing games.  I hope to maybe go see a movie and eat a lot of food over the holiday weekend.  I hope everyone out there has a happy holiday and do me a favor and download the PGR4 demo off of Xbox Live Marketplace.  I think you'll like the game since it's the best racing game out this fall.
