What I'm playing

Well if you've been playing attention you've noticed I've been playing a lot of racing ages lately.  I've been playing a lot of Sega Rally Revo and have unlocked a few cars and a few tracks.  I have managed to squeeze out a few achievement points but they have been few and far between.  SRR is a fun arcade style rally game but it may have run it's course on my 360.  I have not been too thrilled with the controls of the game and feel the courses do not very enough in their feel.  The cars do not feel much different from driving through snow or mud or on slick asphalt.   I do like the looks of the courses and the colorful environments.  This game is nice for rally rookies since it justs lingo that any driver can understand.

I have also been squeezing in a few laps in Project Gotham 4 over the past week.  I am progressing through their career mode nicely.  One thing I don't like about PGR 4 is their their lack of emphasis on street races.  When you enter an event it seems the majority of the time you will be doing cone races where you try to get a fast time while avoiding cones, hot lap which is just trying to get the fastest lap or kudos race where you try to have a fast time on a lap but earning kudos will stop the clock.  I've been getting a bit sick of these events.  I do enjoy the checkpoint races where you try to hit as many checkpoints as you can in a give time, elimination races where the last car is eliminated over time till there are two cars ion the car and the overtake races where you just try to pass as many cars as you can in a given time period.  I see myself playing a lot of PGR4 over the next couple months here and there as time permits.

Now I've already beaten the campaign of Call of Duty 4 but now I'm playing again at the Hardened difficult to earn some more achievements.  I did play the first act of the game on Veteran to earn some individual level achievements but as I started to play the second acct it was just too difficult to beat.  I was dieing so fast I had to drop the game down a level of difficulty.  So I've mentioned before this game is not very long and I managed to finish the second act in a few hours of play.  COD4 is in my short list for game of the year with it's stunning visuals, excellent story and amazing game play.
