Why is no one playing Campaign Scoring?
Now obviously some people are taking advantage of this feature but it
seems like a lot of people on my friends list are not. Two of the
biggest and best games out right now, Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4, offer
you the ability to replay the campaign with arcade style scoring turned
on. Both games have a different way of scoring kills but basically the
more kill enemies with style the more points you get.
In Halo 3 I know you can play campaign scoring in co-op so you can compete within the level against your friends. To help incentive this Halo 3 has added achievements to the mix based on breaking a preset score. This one of other the first things I did once I finished the campaign. It was a great way to replay the game and helped me find more ways to gain achievement points.
I have not tried the Call of Duty 4 campaign scoring yet but I did check out the leader board and saw that none of my friends had registered a score. I was a bit surprised that no one had registered a single game of campaign scoring. Then I went through my friends list and was shocked to see how few people have played Call of Duty 4. Call of Duty 4 has to be one of the best first person shooters released in 2007 for any system (It's on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360). The graphics are amazing and the game play is hectic and demanding. I will say the campaign is very short but still very rewarding as some of those levels can get really hard. Plus with campaign scoring it gives you a reason to play each level again.
I guess I really hope people go out and buy Call of Duty 4 because it is a great game. I have not played any of the online multiplayer but I hear it is excellent as well. If you have Halo 3 already then put that back in and try the campaign scoring for that. You may need to find some skulls first to help score more points but these are some easy achievement points to pick up. So in closing pick up COD 4 and play the campaign then play the campaign scoring. Throw Halo 3 back in your 360 and give it's campaign scoring another yrt as well. This is a nice feature the developers thew into the game and will help keep you coming back for more. Go ahead and try beating my Halo 3 scores? I don't think you can.
