Playing Xbox 360 on my Computer Monitor

So recently my iPod sync cord died.  This is the second cord I've gone through.  The first was mostly wear and tear and still is used to charge up my iPod but would sync up successfully maybe 1 in 5 tries.  My second cord dies because Leah enjoyed sucking on the end.  I always shooed her away from the cord but I guess Erin wasn't so diligent.  Eventually the electronics corroded and the cord was effectively useless.

Now I listen to a lot of podcasts, maybe 10 a week, so without the ability to sync up I can listen to them on my PC or copy them to My Music folder and stream them to my 360.  Well I decided to try something different.  I've now got a 360 under my desk and have it connected to my computer monitor via a VGA connection.  So now I start up my podcasts, most are over an hour long, and then plug my 360 into the monitor and play some games.

Now my computer monitor is a 19" Westinghouse LCD I bought over a year ago.  It's not considered an HD monitor or anything like that but I'm really impressed with how good the 360 games look.  I was playing Virtua Fighter 5 while I was listen to a podcast last night and I was like WOW that looks good.

Not sure it's the best setup but I have my 360 in a vertical position on a shelf under my desk. I have no audio coming from the 360 but that's fine for now.  I do have a spare speaker setup I used to use sitting in my storage room if I want to add audio.  Playing at the computer does give a different experience but since I'm much closer to the monitor the 19" works great.  This is probably the best setup for anyone that has a nicer computer monitor than TV set.
