Republican Debates
I got to watch some of the South Carolina Republican debates last
night. I tend to find myself in a pickle when I need to pickle a
political party that best suits my views. I tend to be fiscal
conservative, socially liberal and a bit of an isolationist. I do feel
horrible about what is happening in Africa but I wonder should we send
troops to die there? Should we meddle in the Middle East and South
America? All it does is bite us in the end.
After watching the debates I can firmly say I endorse Ron Paul as the republican candidate. He is a true fiscal conservative that wants us to have our civil liberties back and to get us out of the middle east. The other guys all seem like war hawks to me and just want to be the biggest bully on the block.
Our military does not need to be spread all across the world in countries that don't want us there. We are facing a recession straight in the face and we are wasting billions in the middle east. Lets stop supporting these middle east dictators and funnel that money back into our country.
It was very clear to me that Fox News does not want Ron Paul to win the nomination. They asked him foolish questions when they bothered to ask him a question. I really hope Ron Paul stays in this to the end so that he can get the word out. I've never voted in a caucus but will when the Minnesota caucus comes.
