Hack and Slash Weekend

So for the most part I've been gaming it up to my new favorite game Guitar Hero 3.  I'm really surprised how much I like playing this game.  For the most part the music is all stuff I like  from bands like Guns 'n Roses, Weezer, Sex Pistols and Rolling Stones.  Erin has been hooked on it too.  She is almost playing as much as I am now.  We normally sit on the couch and take turns on different songs.  So far Erin is getting good at the game and 5 stared a song.  We are still playing on Easy, I tried hard and using four buttons blew my mind.  I'm going to try and finish the career on Easy then move to Medium after that.

When I got GH3 I was right in the middle of play Kingdom Under Fire.  I've kind of hit an enjoyment block in this game.  I just can't give it much play time when I have a game like GH3 waiting in the wings.  I've never been good at multitasking games so I normally play through one then move on to the next game.    Picking up Kingdom Under Fire was just not very fun.  I need to level up some so I can take on the next boss and that means grinding though levels just for the experience points.  I think I may trade this game in or maybe just put it on the shelf and come back to it some other time.

From GameFly I currently have Conan out and put that in for a half hour session.  This is the typical God of War style game that copies the game all the way to the topless ladies you have to rescue.  It's a dumb hack and slash with some hilariously chauvinistic dialog.  There are some great achievements though like getting 100 dismemberments or 100 impalements to help spice up the mindless button mashing.  It's a mindless game and should help fill the time.

GameFly Update:  I finally got an email telling me they are sending me Assassin's Creed. Should arrive early next week.  Hopefully Conan is short so I can burn through it so I can play Assassin's Creed.  I've heard to enjoy Assassin's Creed you have to play it slow and take your time.  I'll give it a try but stealth games aren't normally my cup of tea.
