Just a Dumb Halo 3 Newb

So over the weekend I decided to play a little Halo 3. It had been a while since I'd jumped into match making but I've been playing online with friends a little more and decided to play some team Slayer since that's my lowest ranking. I played a ton of Halo 3 when it first came out but gradually moved on Call of Duty 4 on played then online. I used to play a ton of Halo 2 with friends and in match making. I think the last time I checked I had over 1500 matches played in Halo 2.
On Saturday I had some fun matches and even got my Team Slayer ranking up to a 23 by winning a few close matches. I tooled around in Forge and then played a couple matches with a friend. On Sunday afternoon I decide d to play a little more and in the first match I played I'm paired up with some racist and his dumb friend. No what gets me is we can't hear the other team and have no idea what ethnic group they are yet to him they are "dumb *****" and he repeats this a lot.
Now if this is not bad enough we are losing to a team with only three players. Now this is match making so we should all be closely rated but it is obvious that these guys are very good. Now I'm getting killed left and right and I can't seem to get a single kill. I've got my teammates barking out orders and telling me to what to do so I'm totally out of my game.
What gets me is I have my Xbox 360 profile set to casual, I'm playing on a Sunday afternoon there there has to be tons of people online and yet I'm getting called a newb because we are getting smoked by these guys. I've played over 240+ games of Halo 3 and a lot of been enjoyable but a game like that reminds me why I stopped playing online and most of my Halo 2 friends don't play Halo 3 online.
I did leave feedback on both people I played against but really this doesn't really matter. If there are 377,000 people online odds are you are going to get some really jerks on occasion. I do like playing Halo 3 but I'm getting to the point where I think voice communication should only be between you and people on your friends list. I tend to play most of my games in Lone Wolf (lvl 30 btw) just for this reason and maybe this is where I belong.
