What I'm Playing

Over the past week I've been playing quite a few different games but still spending most of my time on my new favorite game: Devil May Cry 4.    I finished up Devil Hunter mode this weekend and then started playing Son of Sparda mode.  The Dante fight at the beginning of SoS is a but hard as I spent way too much time trying to win that fight.  By completing Devil Hunter mode I opened up Bloody Palace mode which is just an arena battle mode where you take on waves of demons.  I got to stage 17 (out of 100) over the weekend and plan on seeing how far I can get.

I decide that this weekend was my last with Burnout Paradise.   I did some more racing around the town on Friday night and got my fill.  It's an ok game and has it's moments but I'm just not that interested.  I like the open world idea but don't feel compelled to compete in races or other events.  This game is really best if you have a bunch of friends playing together online and as I mentioned before no one on my friends list has picked this game up so playing by myself gets a bit dull.

For some sadistic reason I though it'd be fun to rent Perfect Dark Zero and play that a little.  How wrong I was.  I started out playing the campaign where I left off.  Well that was the jungle mission which has to be one of the worst levels I've played.  I think I stopped after about 10 or 15 minutes.   I decided to play some multiplayer against bots (as if anyone is still playing this online) and see how that compares to current games.  It's got that Counter Strike/Shadowrun game mechanic where you buy weapons before a match which is a bit lame.  It is very clear that PDZ was an Xbox game ported to 360 so Microsoft could have a FPS for launch.  This game is very ugly and doesn't play very well.  The controls are not very good which is a good way to kill a FPS.

As mentioned in an earlier post I did play some Halo 3 over the weekend.  Got stood up by one friends but still played with another.  We used to have a good group for Halo 2 but it never materialized on the 360.

That's about all I played this week.  I'm going to have to crack into Lost Odyssey this week and play a little more Devil May Cry.   I'm sending both GameFly games back so I don't see any new games in the future.  I need to get back into GH3 so I'm ready for the weekend.  Might be playing some GH3 at a party on Saturday.
