So over lunch I decided to hit Best Buy after grabbing a burrito at Chipotle.  I was originally looking to get I Am Legend in HD-DVD and look at the Samsung player I talked about but I decide to buy a laptop instead (Dell Inspiron).  I wandered into the games section to see that they had remodeled the area. 

So I looked for a Wii like I always do but there were none.  What I did see though was a huge wall of PS3s and Xbox 360s.  There were so many consoles I had to count them up.  There where a total of 37 PS3s, 28 Xbox 360 Pros, 4 Elites and 2 Arcades for a total of 34 360s.  I think it's safe to say they are both fully stocked at my Best Buy.

So what is up?  Obviously there is no new model coming out for the 360.  It's a good month before the release of Grand Theft Auto 4 so I doubt they are preparing for that.  Is Microsoft going to announce a price cut soon?  Is the PS3 also going to cut their price?  Why have so much shelf space taken up by these consoles unless Best Buy thinks they will move quick?   Something big is coming.
