Launch to Game vs Launch to Dashboard
After picking up my PS3 the first default setting I changed was to have my console launch to the XBM dashboard when it initially starts up. When this feature first came to the Xbox 360 I felt is was a great change that really showed off the usefulness of the Xbox 360. I loved turning on the system and being able to immediately see if I had messages or if any of my friends were online. As the service has grown I always check out what;s in on Inside Xbox. I have to admit I also like seeing the ads just to see what's new that they think I should check out. That's how I found the free Terminator and I Am Legend gamer pics and themes.
Sony has placed this feature in the PS3 which i enjoy because often i want to play a game installed on the hard drive and not in the disk drive. I am still shocked that this is not the default setting on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. On both system you have to choose this option buried in the system settings. I'm not sure what the Wii does. So all you gamers out there what is your default setting? Launch to game or Launch to Dashboard?
