Are you going to get Grand Theft Auto 4?
So the biggest game ever is coming out next week and it's going to get a lot of attention from the media for this graphics violence towards anything that walks or crawls. The word on the forums is this game is more controversial than the previous versions. Since GTA4 will be coming out on the PS3 and the Xbox 360 it should be a huge money maker for both console makers. Some stores are planning midnight launch parties so people can buy the game the second it's available. Some people have put the PAL version of the game online and people have been streaming their game session so people can watch them play before anyone else.
Now I understand why GTA is a huge franchise and I fully expect it's release to out sell Halo 3 and maybe Call of Duty 4. That said, I've never played a GTA game. I tend to avoid games that let you kill hookers and steel their money. Now I know that killing hookers isn't the goal of the game. It's some complex criminal wonderland that is really the exact opposite of Crackdown. That said I'm a bit intrigued by all the hype over this game.
So if you plan on getting GTA 4 what are your plans? Will you being playing the main story or will you be messing around in it's open environment? Do you plan on picking the game up right away or wait for the dust to settle then get your copy? Or will you just let this game pass you by? I'm still debating if I want to play this game or not. I may wait for the dust to clear and rent it from GameFly.
