So later today we will see the May NPD data for North America.  So far the analysts are predicting that GTA IV did not boost the sales of the Xbox 360 or the PS3 substantially.  If anything they are pointing to a 50 or 60 thousand unit jump from last month.  May of 2007 was a particularly ugly month for the PS3 and Xbox 360.  Last year the PS3 sold 82K while the 360 sold 155K units and was the lowest month for either console last year.

Of course the Wii is expected to sell like gangbusters and continue their incredible sales.  I would not be surprised if the Wii passes the Xbox 360 in the US this month.  Nintendo seems to be flooding the US market with Wiis considering the past two months we've seen more Wii sales combined than last December.  It will be interesting to see how the second month of Mario Kart does and how many people have purchased Wii Fit.
