Playing the Ninja

So the past week I've been almost exclusively playing some form of Ninja Gaiden.  I've been making good progression in Ninja Gaiden II on Path of the Warrior difficulty and am now on Chapter 9.  I remember the boss at the end of chapter nine and am not too excited about facing off against the two flying dragons.  Facing two of these bastards at once while they both take turns killing me was to fun the first time I beat these guys.  Now I know I'll need just about everything I have to take them out.

So far I do not feel the boss battles are any more difficult on Warrior than they were on Acolyte. If anything I find that the levels are a bit harder on Warrior because there are so many more guys to fight.  I'm getting a little less gold orbs to send on items as well I think.  So far all the bosses that can talk are not too hard to beat while all the non-talking monsters are a pain in the but.

I've been playing a little Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword for the DS as well.  It's a nice distraction that has it's ups and downs.  I'm now at a point the last two times I've tried to play it I've died.  Since it's kind of a long way to go without a save I'm not that tempted to retry the section.  I'll probably be playing it a lot next week since I'll be on vacation and without my 360.

I picked up Elite Beat Agent for the DS last week.  I played the first two challenges and found it interesting.  I guess for all they hype I read about this game last year I was expecting more. It should provide some entertainment while on vacations.  At least it was dirt cheap since I got it used.  I'm surprised how cheap used DS games cost.  I got Elite Beat for $14.

I also played a little more Resistance on the PS3.  For the most part I think the game is good but nothing special.  I'm trying to work my way through the game but it feels like a colorless, emotionless first person shooter.  The whole game is a shade of brown and doesn't really look at that impressive.  I've over half way through now but I'm really hoping I'm closer to the end.  I just won't this game to end so I can ship it back to Game Fly.

I did download the Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo from the PlayStation Store and played that demo.  Sigma looks very good on the PS3 and I added it to my Game Fly queue.  I'm interested to play this some time in the future.

I've not played this yet but I added Metal gear Solid 4 to my GameFly queue.  Since it's being called the greatest PS3 game so far and justification for buying a PS3 I figured I should check it out.  I hear there is a point about six hours in that is very hard to get past.  I've also hear you can play this game a little more like an action game but if you do you'll get killed a lot.  I'm not a Metal Gear fan but I'll give it a try.  Who knows maybe I'll love the game.
