Completed Ninja Gaiden II
So after abandoning my first attempt on Acolyte when I spent a couple hours trying to defeat the final boss i just beat the final boss on Warrior on my third try. I have to admit I'm very excited I managed to pull it off considering how much trouble I had on the lower difficulty. What I learned the first time around I applied to my second time around in the game. I made sure I leveled up the right weapons and ninpo this time around and didn't bother experimenting with all the other spells or weapons.
First off one thing I noticed in is that the best weapon for almost all boss fights in the Eclipse Scythe which you get in the first half of the game. I recommend leveling this weapon up as fast as you can because it's Y attack does major damage to bosses and just about anything else. In every boss battle, except 3, I used this weapons to speedy results by just spamming the Y button.
The one major mistake I made my first time through was not leveling up the Piercing Void ninpo. This ninpo is extremely useful against the final boss so it is extremely important to level this one all the way up. After watching how some other people fought the last boss I realized this ninpo was critical and unfortunately I had not leveled this one up on my first play through. I actually never used this ninpo at all until the final boss because I preffered the wind ninpo when progressing through the levels.
Now that I beat the final boss and have earned the Warrior and Acolyte achievements I will probably move on but definitely want to give ninja Gaiden Sigma a shot on the PS3. I don't see the reason for pulling out my copy of Ninja Gaiden Black when I could be playing a next gen port of the game. Finally earning this achievement before heading out on vacation really makes this one feel good. Also considering the amount of time I put into fighting that final boss I'm glad I got it done.
