Well I'm just getting back into the swing of things now that I'm home.  I had a great time at the Wisconsin Dells and in Milwaukee.  This will be one of those vacations I doubt I'll forget.  It ran the gambit from seeing Lake Delton without any water, to playing with my kids at the pool, to having to manage some drunk idiot at Summerfest, to seeing Stone Temple Pilots.  It was in interesting trip to say the least.

For those that didn't hear this Lake Dalton in the Dells emptied into the Wisconsin River after the heavy spring rain caused the ground around the dame to give way.  Still we spent a lot of time at our hotel playing in their pool which the kids loved.  We hit the ducks which even with Lake Dalton gone was really a fun time.

By far the highlight of my trip was seeing Stone Temple Pilots again.  It was a great show where they played a ton of songs from their first two albums.  They performed for about two hours and played all their hits but two songs I would have liked to have heard.  

Considering I spent almost 12 hours in a car with a 1 1/2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old it was a good vacation.  Leah did really well on the return trip and made me feel we can do this again.  It had been probably two years since our last family vacation and I hope to start doing this once a summer.
