Battlefield:Bad Company Multiplayer Impressions

So I've been spending a lot of time online in Bad Company attacking and defending gold crates.  The online mode only has one game type where one team attempts to blow up the gold gold crates in the other team's base.  Each base has two crates and once those two crates are blown up the defenders fall back to the next base and the attachers take over the old base.  This may seem like it would get monotonous but it doesn't because of the different character classes and vehicles available in the game.

In Bad Company before you respawn, you are given the option to pick your class and the primary weapon for that class.  Each class has it's own set of weapons so you can change you equipment multiple times in a round. Often I switch between Assault and Demolition because defending if the other team is using a lot of tanks.  I have also managed to unlock the stim stick on Assault so I can restore my health when using Assault class.

Another added aspect of the multiplayer is that there are a lot of fun achievements online.  I finally earned the achievement for blowing up walls online and I also collected my 50th dog tag by killing an opponent using the knife.  I've leveled my character up to level 12 and am half way to the top spot.  It's nice to have some online goals to work for while playing.  I'm still working on getting 100 kills in a vehicle and knocking down 1000 trees online.

I tend to think that Bad Company online is a lot more fun because there are no lobbies.  You simply jump into a game and start playing right away.  I've had no issues ever joining a game and unlike Halo 3 or COD4 there aren't punks out there talking garbage.  There also aren't AI kills or magic grenades to work about.  Since it takes a little more to actually kill someone you also don't have to worry about the campers either.  Really Bad Company is probably the best online game I've played all year.
