What I'm Playing
Besides from playing a ton of Too Human I have taken some time to play a couple other games this week. I got The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass from GameFly and have taken it for a spin. It's a Zelda game for the DS so I wasn't sure how great it would work but it has been ok. I have not gotten far into it but it's a Zelda game so it should be good.
I happen to be a huge Fable fan so when I pre-ordered the game I got to download the Fable 2 Pub Games. These are three mini-games from the new fable game coming out next month. Originally I thought this was a cool idea because the gold you win or lose can be linked to your character in the retail game. The three games provided are all gambling games with two very close to slots and craps. Spinner Box is a version of slots were a couple indicators spin and depending on what comes up you win money. I have not spent much time with Spinner Box. Keystone is a very similar game to craps where you bet on multiple options. Again not a game I'm playing. I'm actually playing Fortune's Tower which is a multiple round game where you can choose to get out at any round before you go bust. It's fun enough that I will actually play it for fun.
I did throw in Halo 3 for a little while and amazingly the first match I joined one person was calling another gay. I tend to think there are a lot of "griefers" on Halo 3 looking to stir stuff up. I ended up playing some Lone Wolf and then going back to Too Human. I think playing Halo 3 online is not much more than a prettier Halo 2 and after playing so much Halo 2 on the original Xbox it's lost it's appeal for me. When the new achievements roll out at the end of September I'll probably play some more.
There is something about playing Too Human that has not gotten old for me yet. There is still a lot for me to try to get like Elite armor and completing a 3rd level charm. So far I have all but a few of the achievements in Too Human and I think I can get all but maybe one or two of them. I had already put it in my mind that I would only play Too Human till Fable 2 comes out so I think I can pull off getting the those achievements till then.
