Too Human, the more you play the better it gets
It's very odd that I stay with a game so long after finishing the game's campaign. If anything I'll maybe play through it twice if I really like the game but with too Human I've played thought he campaign probably six times. I was listening to the Xbox360fanboy.com's podcast and two of their member have also gotten hooked by Too Human. I think the consensus is that once your level hits the mid twenties you really enjoy the game. Also the Commando is a horrible character class and no one should use it.
I tend to think this occurs for a couple of reasons. The first being that it does take a while for some to get used to the controls. I think the controls are super easy and approachable because all you do to attack to move your right analog stick towards enemy you want to attack. It's very easy to juggle attacks against several enemies at a time. Still most gamers are just used to hitting the X or Y button to swing their melee weapon so adjusting to using the analog stick does take time.
The second thing that occurs is once you hit level 22 is when you start getting the really cool rare armor. For the most part till now you are just using either the basic stuff that you don't have to craft or some of the crafted items that aren't that great. Once you start crafting the rare stuff is when the game gets fun because you normally acquire rare items that are available for the level one or two higher than you are. So you play a little more to get that next item then you get another cool item and the cycle continues. You are almost never more than two or three levels from the next awesome armor set or weapon.
The real problem I think Too Human has is it's large learning curve. Unfortunately playing once through a one hour demo isn't enough to really get an understanding of the controls. Once you do get used to that right analog stick controls for combat the game gets very rewarding and makes those button mashers like Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden annoying with their archaic controls. If you downloaded the demo and chose to pass on the game then give it another chance. You may be missing out on a hidden gem.
