I was just reading Major Nelson's twitter and saw that anyone who signed up for the preview of the new Xbox Experience (NXE) got the update sent to their Xbox today.  Once you get the update it takes about two minutes to download and install.  After it launches for the first time you watch some video that I'm sure the marketing team put togerher.  Once that's done you start editing your avatar.

Editing your avatar is very cool.  You can pick one of several presets then modify that one to be more like you.  You get to modify their hair style, hair color, facial hair, eyes, nose, ears, skin tone, add wrinkles or dimples then choose a body type.  I made mine tall and fat cause let's face it, I am. 

Once you've modified the face and body you can choose from a fairly wide variety of clothing and accessory options.  My wife made sure I had a ring on my finger.  I found a nice pair of jeans and an Xbox t-shirt (there are other t-shirts).  Total process didn't take long at all to create my avatar.

I'm still checking things out and hope to get some timetomorrow to play around with the game installs and Netflix integration.  I'm really excited to get a chance to finally play around with the new user interface.  It is really fast and has a lot going on.
