The good folks at Nielsen have put out their own top 10 list that covers everything from most watch TV show, DVDs and books.  The top played PC games and the most played video game consoles are also a part of this list.  On the top of their list is the Playstation 2 with 31% of the total usage time spent, followed by the Xbox 360 at 17% and the Wii at 13%.   What is a bit interesting is that the first Xbox is being played more that the Playstation 3 according to Nielsen's numbers.  

I have to admit I do find some humor in these numbers.  It should be no surprise the PS2 is the most played game console since it's sold 47 million units in the US and continues to sell well.  I'm not surprised to see the Xbox 360 is getting a lot of play time since it's a great console with a lot of high quality games.  I am surprised to see the PS3 is used less than the first Xbox since the xbox is not being manufactured anymore.  I think it's a testament to the lack of quality exclusives for the PS3 and it's steep price tag.
