The great folks at Sony have produced a chart clearly showing that the PS3 is actually cheaper to afford than the Xbox 360.  This is some great marketing that showing all three game consoles and the categories Sony chose to emphasise.  So here's this chart:


Well I'll be a monkey's uncle!!!  The PS3 is cheaper than owning an Xbox 360 Arcade model.  I will throw out my Xbox 360 and go buy me a PS3.  Oh wait I already own a PS3 so I can attest it's cheaper to own.  If you own a PS3 you save money by not having to buy Gears of War 1 or 2, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Fable 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, Forza 2, PGR 3 or 4 and BioShock.  Ok, PS3 has BioShock but Xbox owners got to play it before they heard about the game's story twist.

In all actuality you can put as much purfume on a pig as you want but it's still a pig.  The PS3 has less good games, multiplatform games run better on the Xbox 360, Xbox 360 has Netflix streaming and the PS3 costs $400 two years after it's launch.  Sure your Xbox might blow up on you but really that just means you're actually playing the dam thing.  Hear of many PS3 failures?  No cause over priced DVD players don't break too often.  If you actually played you're PS3 40 hours a week for 50 weeks straight then your PS3 might die on you.  Honestly, if you want an over priced BluRay player and occassional game console then buy the PS3.  If you plan on playing games you migth want an Xbox 360 or a PC but I don't recomment using a computer for anything other than checking your email and surfing the web.
