It seems I've only been playing Gears of War 2 lately.  After spending a lot of time last weekend finishing the campaign in online co-op I've been playing public multiplayer and working on the Insane difficult campaign.  What I have discovered is that if you have a party of two or more people finding a match is crazy fast.  We never had to wait more than a minute to join a match. Granted this was a Friday night so I'm sure a lot of people were playing,  When I was playing matches by myself waiting for my friend to get online I was still seeing slow but acceptable match making.

On Saturday I played solely private matches with friends.  It was nice to even out the teams using bots since we have an odd number of people.  The AI was a mixed bag for the most part playing great at times and horrible at other times.  We were using the Insane AI bots and they still stayed back too much when the human teammate died.  The AI would totally kill the other team if they made stupid mistakes or charged the AI.

On Insane, I'm somewhere on the 4th Act.   For the most part I think Insane is just as hard as the first game's Insane difficulty forcing you to stay behind cover and picking your spots to shoot.  The boss at the end of the 3rd act was a but too crazy in Insane.  By all accounts the boss is very easy to beat on all other difficulties since all you need to do is dodge and throw grenades.  For some reason on Insane I had a hard getting the grenades correct and my timing was just off.  I've had a couple spots I've gotten stuck but so far it's been all reasonable.  I still have not gotten to the harder parts of Act 4 so I'm a bit worries how long it will take me to finish the game.
