What I'm Playing
I have been spending most of my gaming hours playing Gears of War 2 multiplayer, Fable 2, Lips and watched my son play Maw. Now that the new achievements are out for Gear2 multiplayer I've been working on those along with the existing ones for rounds played and kills. I do like playing Horde mode so I've been playing a few public Horde matches. I have also made some progress in the campaign on Insane mode. I've made it through the first four acts of the game and was surprised I was able to get through the reaver section with very few reties. I thought for sure this part would be impossible but I was wrong.
I've completed the Knothole Island expansion for Fable 2 completing all the associated quests. This was a nice 4 or 5 hour expansion with some interesting back story. I was able to restore my four legged friend on my first character which allowed me to finish up some quests I hadn't completed with that character. In all I have three characters in Fable 2 and have completed the main story with two. I don't feel like finishing the game with the third but may come back to complete that one.
I played Lips with my wife on Saturday and we played with the kids on Sunday. I enjoy singing so a karaoke game is something I can do with the whole family. There are a lot of songs from my youth as well as modern hits I enjoy. The game is getting new music every week as well so now I think I have 50 plus songs to choose from to sing. I think there are over 30 songs available for purchase on the marketplace now.
My son wanted to play the Doritos game but I was a bit tired of watching him eat trucks as the red dinosaur. So I downloaded Maw for him to play. It's an interesting adventure game where you have this creature on a leash that eats stuff. It's a colorful game with some humor and should help him get an understanding of how to use a controller. I've been looking for a new game to play with him that doesn't involve shooting stuff. I think the new Banjo game might be the best option.
