Old School HD
With a lot of people finally moving to buy HD tvs I'm guessing a lot of people don't realize they can get an HD signal from an antenna. I just recently bought an $8 antenna with UHF for my HDTV in my bedroom. In the twin cities I'm able to get PBS, ABC, CBS, FOX, WB, NBC and a couple other local channels all in true HD glory. Since I have an HDTV I just went into the setting and had the TV scan for channels over the antenna. It found over 26 digital signals.
I currently pay extra for the ability to have a converter box to watch HD channels from Comcast. I am currently looking at possibly ditching the box to drop my staggering cable bill. Paying $170 a month for internet, phone and cable is just getting too high right now. I can't live without high speed internet and the phone isn't much of a savings if I switch over to Vonage. HD cable may will be the first to go.
