PS3 Blue Tooth Headset Headache
Sometimes it's every clear that the PS3 was over engineered: adding a
headset is one of those times. Really it should be very simple to use
a headset while using any technical device. Normally all you need to
do is turn on the headset and sync it up with the device. As someone
who has finally bought a phone capable to Blue Tooth I decided to get a
headset I could use on the PS3 and the phone. Getting the phone to
work with the headset was easy enough since you just have to sync the
devices, add a code then your good.
One might think adding the headset to the PS3 would be just as simple. Actually it is very simple to add since you just go to your accessories settings then manage blue tooth devices. Once I did that I decided to jump online and play some Killzone 2 online. Problem is that it's not that simple. I knew something had changed because now that I had a headset I could hear people talking online...just not through the headset. The people talking came though the speakers, not the headset. After cruising through the setting menu I found the audio device settings which allows me to actually enable voice through a headset. Maybe I'm an idiot but I found this extremely unintuitive and now I wonder if all those people online that aren't talking just haven't figured this out.
