More on Resident Evil 5
When I first started playing the Resident Evil 5 demo on Xbox live I
got hung up on the controls. One of the game play features in
Resident Evil is that you can not move and aim a gun at the same time.
This is actually close of how Gears of War plays except you can move
very slowly in Gears. Like Gears you hold down the left trigger on the
controller to aim and shoot with the right trigger.
I really disliked this in the demo but once I started playing the game I got over this issue very quickly. For the most part everyone attacks you from the front and they don't race up to you very often. This allows you time to line up shots and to run backwards to put room between you and the infested. I think that the game is also fairly easy on Normal so anyone should be able to pickup the game and have no troubles getting through the game.
One thing I'm surprised I have not heard mentioned is how short the game plays. I took my time and hunted for every jewel and carton to break and I beat the game in 10 hours. By all means this isn't a very long game and several of the people on my friends list beat the game in less time than that. One thing that does add a lot of replay is the mercenaries mode and the online co-op in the game. This game really is meant to be played with a friend online.
