New Xbox 360 Games at E3
Microsoft took the time to announce a few exciting new games coming to the Xbox 360. Several much anticipated sequels and some desired games that haven't been on the 360 yet as well. Here is a run down of each and a short description.
Crackdown 2 is coming to an Xbox 360 near you in 2010. The game is not being developed by the same studio as the previous title but is being done by a new studio formed from several of the members of the original development team. You will return to bring justice to Pacific City and I expect more of the same great game play found in the original.
Forza Motorsport 3 will be in stores this October. There will be over 400 cars and 100 real world tracks to race on all in true HD. I'm not sure how they can pull this off using DVD tech but I'd expect there to be multiple dvds or at least a install process to make these cars and tracks available. The courses look great and the cusomizable art work also looks to be improved.
Joy Ride will allow your avatars to race is a cartoon style racing game. Not much is known yet except it looks very casual.
Shadow Complex is an Xbox Live title from Epic games. This looks like a 2D shooter based on Orson Scott Card's best-selling novel, Empire. Sounds like an old school shooter and I'm not sure if it will translate to current Epic games fans.
Metal Gear Solid: Raising is a new MGS game that will be coming to the Xbox 360 and PS3. You'll get to play Raiden instead of Solid Snake in this new title. Odds are MGS4 was build with no real way to port the game to the 360 so this title will have to do. I expect ti to sell much better on the 360 than the PS3.
Halo: Reach will be coming from Bungie in 2010. Not much is known except it will be made by Bunie and a demo is going to be included in Halo ODST. This game will be released in fall of 2010 and will be the second to last game Bungie makes for Microsoft. I expect this game to be about the Invasion and eventual fall of Reach. I expect we'll see a squad based game like ODST except it will be with Spartans.
Lips: Number One Hits is also coming this fall. Like the title says it will feature only hit songs. Seems to have a couple new songs but not sure if the game has any improvements of the previous version.
This is just a run down of the new games announced at E3 for the Xbox 360. So far this is a nice lineup but the big hitters are all coming in 2010. I'll write up more about Halo ODST and some of the other games coming out this fall in another post.
