Today is the day the latest Gears 2 game add on content is available.  There are two separate items available for download: Dark Corner's Multiplayer Map pack and Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection.  The Dark Corner's content includes seven new maps and the deleted scene campaign chapter.  This content is selling for 1200 Microsoft points.  The All Fronts Collection contains all nineteen multiplayer maps (new and old) plus the deleted scene campaign chapter for 1600 Microsoft points.

At one point this content was scheduled to just be the All Fronts collection but rumbling in the community ended up getting the content split.  I expect this will end up being the last map pack for Gears of War 2.  The Dark Corner's map pack contains six new maps and one returning map from Gears 1.  At 1200 points this pack is a bit pricey but considering it includes seven maps the price is justified.

The content includes a "deleted scene" from the campaign.  This was a chapter that was originally planned to be in the game but didn't make the cut.  This chapter takes place in the Locust's Hallow and has two way to approach the chapter.  You can either go in guns blazing like usual or can go in all stealth like.  My expectations of the stealth option are low because Gears sure isn't Metal Gear thank god.
