It seems that the house has just pushed through another 2 billion of deficit spending to extend the program.   The talk radio is full of people calling in and saying the car they wanted didn't qualify.

I have to admit the government plan to give people money to buy a more fuel efficient car appealed to me.  I'm not exactly ready for a new car but I'd like to think upgrade to a larger sedan.  I was wondering how long the Clunkers bill would last.  I was hoping maybe it would be around next year when I'm closer to buying a new car.

Well if you haven't heard the bill was a "success" in that droves of people turned up to take advantage of the deal.  Now the government has announced the deal is no longer available.  It seems that in over a week the government has blown through the one billion dollars of funding for the project.  It seems now that several deals will be caught holding the bag on some trade-ins.

Now this is not the first time a government program has been underfunded and left others to cover the cost.  Just look at the governments under funding of education programs.  Now the question is do you trust these people to administer your health care?
