Single Payer Obama Care System
It is very clear to me that Obama
care is essentially a single payer system that eliminates the need for
private health care insurance providers. In a single payer, which
would be the central government, there is no need for enrollment since
everyone is entitled to free health care. There is no claims
processing because every procedure must be approved before hand and the
hospitals are given money just like any other government agency. You
would not be charged per procedure but instead given an annual budget
to work under. This concept seems to be the perfect marriage of the
Cleveland Clinic's non-procedure based billing and universal health
care.
The Obama care plan would end up meaning companies like Cigma, Blue Cross, UHG, ESI, HealthPartners, Well Point and many other health insurance companies won't be necessary. Obama has said he hoped to eliminate a private insurance which means the end to the companies that provide that service. Perhaps some deal will be made to create monopolies like the energy and natural gas companies but it's probably not necessary. Either way it will end up in tens of thousands of unemployed Americans.
Now I admit this is a worst case scenario I'm describing above. Most likely the democrats will not be able to keep control of both houses and the presidency long enough to eliminate private health insurance companies. These companies have already started spreading the word to employees about the evils of this health care insurance reform. Since in the end politicians are only worried about being re-elected they will ditch the president's plan as it loses favor.
