Forza 3 Demo Impressions
Earlier this week the demo of Forza Motorsport 3 became available on Xbox Live for all regions. The demo comes out with five cars and one track, Camino Viejo de Montserrat in Barcelona. The demo weights in at 1.25 GB so it might take a while to download depending on your internet speed. The retail game will have over 400 cars and 100 tracks to race.
I ran a few races and I am absolutely impressed with the improvements made to Forza 3. The UI has been slightly touched up and looks very modern, the cars always looked great in Forza 2 but it's clear there was more attention to the tracks and I like the rewind feature which is limitless. Racing through the mountain side track of Camino Viejo is beautiful. The lighting is perfect and the scenery is fabulous. I can't wait to pick this game up next month. I have my copy pre-ordered all ready.
The game seems to have been adjusted to make it more accessible to casual gamers. In the past Forza allowed you to adjust game setting and you earned more money based on your settings. In Forza 3 you can adjust these setting but you can also choose a preset difficulty that will turn settings on and off. The game allows you to adjust the opposing driver's ability, turn on/off driving/break lines, car ware/damage and adjust car handling. The game now features five difficulty settings: Easy, Medium, Hard, Advanced and Expert. I've found Hard to be a fairly easy seeting to race on.
