The Republican Option

The House Republicans have penned their own version of health care reform that is in complete contrast to the Democrat plan.  Instead of running our government to monumental budget deficits in the name of universal coverage, the Republican plan actually looks to address the problem with our current health care system, the cost.

The Republican plan looks to promote health savings accounts, cap malpractice payouts, provide incentives to lower premium costs and provide health care portability.  The goal of this bill is to lower health care costs for everyone.  These areas are where we need real reform, unlike what is in the Democrat's bill which is just looking to expend government control.  If you can't drop down the cost of health care procedures and drugs you will never
fix health care in America.
