What I am and am not playing

When I have had a chance to get on my 360 I've been playing Forza 3 and of course a little Gears of War 2 as well.  I'm progressing very well in the Forza career finishing the first three seasons and getting my driver to level 35.  I really like the feel of the career mode. You start a season and play X number of races to advance the season but between each season race you have options to play other mini circuits.  You can chose one that is best for the car you are currently driving, one that will show you new tracks or one that will let you drive a new car.

I haven't just been racing in Forza 3 either.  I've been playing with the design shop and have customizing my cars.  I've been taking the splatter decals and placing them on my cars.  I'm having fun and feel I'm creating some cool looking cars.  I've been uploading my designs to the store front so maybe someone will download of of my designs.

The game I've forgotten about has to be Brutal Legend.  It really is too bad because it's a nice game with an ok story.  I'm not a huge fan of the RTS game play and enjoy just driving around and exploring the game world instead of actually playing the story.  I'll probably go back and finish the game eventually but right now it's collecting dust.

My weekly ritual has to be playing Gears of War 2 with my friends late Friday and Saturday night.  So far I've logged over 120 day game sessions in Gears 2 alone.  They constantly provide patches to the game to keep the loyal fans happy.  It's clear they upped the IQ of the bots recently because this past weekend they played well and were more of a factor than in the past.  With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 coming out this week it will be interesting to see how this cuts into our Gears play.
