Field Test

This past weekend I played 63 holes of golf which allowed me to give my app a field test.  What I learned is that keeping track of a round while you played wasn't that easy.  I played two very different courses with two different environments.  On one course I used a dedicated GPS device for yardages and drove a cart.  On the other course I rode in a cart with no GPS.

What I discovered fairly quickly was I would constantly lose my data with my android app.  I'd accidentally exit out of the app and lose my data.  Either I'd get an email or text and leave the golf app to be killed off.  This became annoying and I eventually stopped tracking my stats with my app.  I'm not sure I'd want to have my phone running while I play golf.

Right now I'm tempted to release the phone without the hole by hole data entry.  I'm not sure what value this feature adds to the application.  I rather enter scores after I've completed my round.  I think I'll add the ability to add multiple golfers instead and allow stat tracking for each golfer.  This may be added in an upcoming release though.  I'm think I should release what I have and see if there are any interested parties out there.  If I get buys I'll start adding more functionality.
